Harry Cobden’s Planet Sport Bet blog: Top Ville Ben will take a lot of beating at his best

Planet Sport Bet's ambassador Harry Cobden will be at Cheltenham's two day Christmas Meeting and here he previews his five rides on Friday, December 15.

12:05 (Cheltenham) Meatloaf

I’m back at Cheltenham on Friday and Saturday and kick-off with Meatloaf.

He’s a lovely horse who really impressed us at Wincanton on his first start over hurdles. His jumping improved throughout the race and he won well in the end.

It’s a very competitive novice hurdle; probably one of the deepest I’ve seen for a long time.

It won’t be easy to win, but he’s a nice horse with a future.

12:40 (Cheltenham) Ginny's Destiny

I then ride Ginny’s Destiny. He won really well last time at Cheltenham and, while we don’t know what would have happened with the faller, he was still going really well.

He isn’t a horse that does an awful lot in front, but he’s been in great form at home since.

We’re looking forward to running him in what looks another competitive race.

13:15 (Cheltenham) Panjari

Panjari goes next. This is another really nice horse, who we think plenty of.

He’s taken a little bit of time to come to himself but he’s beginning to show his true ability.

He certainly goes better than a horse rated 117 and I’m quietly hoping for a big run here.

14:25 (Cheltenham) Top Ville Ben

I ride Top Ville Ben in the Veterans’ Handicap Chase.

He took a bad fall last time but has some really good form and, if he can put his best foot forward, he’d definitely have a chance.

I can see him taking a lot of beating at his best, that’s for sure.

15:25 (Cheltenham) Tiger Jet

My final ride on Friday is Tiger Jet. He ran a cracker last time where he stayed on really well.

I don’t think he properly handled the soft ground but I know how to ride him a bit better now, so, with a very light weight, he should be competitive.
