Galway each-way racing tips: Reserve runner Oranmore gets his chance to shine

Our partners at Tipstrr have run their numbers for us to narrow down the 17-runner field to their most popular each-way selection in what promises to be a wide-open stayers’ handicap.

20:40 Galway: Hop House 13 Handicap (1 mile 6 furlongs)

Four withdrawals have already narrowed the field down a little for us, with the absence of well-fancied No Hassle and Belgoprince helping to firm up the prices of the remaining market leaders.

One horse to benefit from those non-runners is reserve entrant Oranmore, who now gets the chance to build on some promising recent form.
Luke Comer's seven-year-old gelding put some mediocre form behind him earlier in the year, first of all finishing a creditable third of 14 at Leopardstown in June, before converting that progress into a maiden success at Bellewstown last month.

The ease with which Oranmore left 15 rivals in his rearview mirror belied his previous form, and in the end jockey Chris Hayes was easing him down at the line, otherwise his three-and-a-half-length margin of victory could have been even more convincing.
That success earned him a 10-pound hike in the weights, but he still ran on strongly to finish a respectable fifth of 15 on his one subsequent outing at Leopardstown eight days ago.
A similar run with Dylan McGonagle in the saddle this time should see Oranmore give another good account of himself, and with five each-way places available across the board, he looks decent double-digit value for another frame finish.
Suggested bet: Oranmore each-way in the 20:40 at Galway
