Exeter racing tips: Best bets for Monday, March 25

Planet Sport tipsters have taken a close look at what promises to be a thrilling day of racing at Exeter on Monday, March 25.

14:20 (Exeter) Birdman Bob

Birdman Bob brings excellent hurdle form and is clearly on a workable mark for this chasing debut. Rates a good chance if jumping cleanly adopting first-time cheekpieces.

Time To Bite was a course and distance winner in December and scored by 22L at Plumpton last time out. Up another 9.9lb this time. Warrants serious respect.

Moorland Rambler has been fairly well beaten in three chase runs but is beginning to look well treated. Won at this track hurdling. Interesting. Bottom weight Watchoututscookie is another chasing debutant to consider.

 

14:50 (Exeter) Hard Rain

Irish winner Hard Rain has struggled in two outings for this stable. Now drops into a seller and holding the highest official rating is given another chance.

Foxey won a selling handicap by 7L in October. Since won tackling fences and brings leading claims if rebounding from a last start disappointment.

Nick The Greek was a shock winner of a Southwell novice with the runner-up boosting form subsequently. Remains unexposed. Player.

I’m Too Tired maintained good condition earlier in the season though form has tailed off since a January Sedgefield win.

 

 

15:20 (Exeter) Mahland

Mahland improved markedly to finish second stepping up to 2m7 1f at Ludlow in latest. Slightly shorter trip this time and is on a reasonable mark for this handicap debut. May go well.

Sun Joy opened his hurdling account attempting a 2m4 1/2f Huntingdon handicap in January. Not sighted since. Definite player from just 3.3lb higher.

Maximum Effort left earlier efforts behind when third in a Chepstow maiden hurdle last start. Consider on handicap debut.

Letthedustsettle went tackling a variety of trips in recent weeks and remains on a competitive mark.

 

15:50 (Exeter) Pirates’ Tale

Pirates’ Tale finished second contesting a jumpers flat race on debut during October. Shed his maiden tag in a hurdle over course and distance subsequently and remains open to improvement. Sound claims on handicap debut.

Classic Maestro won back-to-back handicap hurdles throughout January and February before finishing second attempting fences. Climbing in the weights. Demands respect.

Now Or Never failed to complete in two runs for this stable. Did look talented in France. Revival possible.

 

16:20 (Exeter) Bampton Star

Bampton Star was a course and distance winner on recent chasing debut. First-time cheekpieces he wore that day are retained and a 5.5lb rise in weights looks fair. Chance.

Born At Midnight has been raised a combined 1st1lb for two easy wins at Plumpton. Different test from a career-high mark but rates a major contender.

Course winner Gingerbred found success in a a 3m1/4f novices handicap chase at Ffos Las last month and finished second at Wincanton since. Now just 2.2lb higher.

Roger Rarebit bled when disappointing in latest. Previously looked progressive.

 

 

16:50 (Exeter) The Wolf

Hunter chase debutant The Wolf was competitive in Class 2 handicaps prior to mid-season wind surgery.

Multiple point-to-point winner Yippee Ki Yay won tackling course and distance on hunter chase debut six days ago. This is tougher however remains open to improvement. Dangerous.

Haven’t Time produced a Southwell win on his third hunter chase outing earlier this month. Respect.

Drop Flight finished third behind the just mentioned at Southwell. Went well previously.
