For the record it's jam on first then cream, the Cornish and correct way, obviously. Anyway enough of that, let's get stuck into some tips.

(Please be aware selections could become non-runners after article's first publication)

14:33 (Exeter) Dolly Delightful

Dolly Delightful brings smart place form including a second in a course and distance mares maiden hurdle. Nice profile to date and rates highly.

The main danger will come from Chosen Hero found success on heavy ground at Chepstow contesting a 2m mares novices hurdle.

Endless Escape showed ability at Uttoxeter when second tackling a heavy going mares novices limited handicap chase and should be on your shortlist.

Tilly Toughnut is unexposed and open to further improvement.

15:05 (Exeter) Spirits Bay

Spirits Bay can get his season back on track with victory in the Dont Retire Without My Pension Expert Novices’ Hurdle.

A dual bumper winner, Nigel Twiston-Davies’ charge made a decent start when finishing second at Sandown in November but then suffered a tired fall at Cheltenham when in third place.

Spirits Bay has been given time to get over that fall and the patience can pay dividends.

15:40 (Exeter) Robyndzone

Robyndzone showed a liking for heavy going winning by eight lenghts a higher graded handicap chase at Haydock in December.

The Venetia Williams-trained ten-year-old will be a leading contender over the 21 fences of the Devon National.

Track and Trace brings strong form with a close second at Carlisle preceding a success at Catterick attempting the North Yorkshire National handicap chase among this company. Should be respected.

Take Your Time was an impressive 13 length winner of a lower class 3m1f handicap chase at Wincanton two outings back and is appealing.

Foxboro produced an easy course and distance victory delivering penultimate start and shouldn't be dismissed.

16:10 (Exeter) Bells Of Peterboro

Bells Of Peterboro scored by an easy 29 lengths on heavy going attempting a three mile novices handicap chase at Chepstow. Stays well and rates a top chance.

Farmer's Gamble was an impressive course and distance winner among similar company this time last year. Fell attempting fences at Uttoxeter in November but may bounce back.

Cedar Row won a 2m5f handicap hurdle at Warwick last March and is of interest making seasonal return.

Chloe's Court produced a smart head second tackling a track and trip handicap hurdle in this grade and should go on the shortlist.
