Doncaster afternoon racing tips: Best bets for Wednesday, February 21

There's a card packed with quality at Doncaster on Wednesday afternoon and the Planet Sport tipsters have been sinking their teeth into it and have provided some super selections.

We kick off with some details on our four selected horses at Doncaster, with a full set of tips from the card at the bottom of the page.

Don't forget to check out the full racecard, results and live odds in Planet Sport's racing live centre.

Good luck and please gamble responsibly.

(Please be aware selections could become non-runners after article's first publication)

13:30 (Doncaster) Grand Albert

Grand Albert can get off the mark under rules in the opening SBK EBF “National Hunt” Maiden Hurdle.

A winning pointer, the £120,000 purchase was narrowly beaten on his bumper bow before having to settle for third on his first attempt over hurdles.

The first two had a bit more experience in the bank and Grand Albert ran well enough to suggest that a win is not too far away.

15:05 (Doncaster) Betterforeveryone

Betterforeveryone is looking to continue his upward trajectory of form in the Sbk Handicap Chase (Go North Red Rum Series Qualifier).

He finished second on this track last time out finishing just three and a half lengths behind favourite Fenland Tiger.

Tom Cannon partners with Betterforeveryone for the eighth time, with Cannon leading him to a top three finish in four of their prevoious seven outings together, including a win at Bangor.

15:40 (Doncaster) Paradias

Alan King takes a nice type to Doncaster with Paradias the pick in the SBK Novices’ Hurdle.

A multiple winner on the Flat, Paradias has made a seamless switch to obstacles this winter, winning at the first time of asking at Lingfield in November before bumping into Jeriko Du Reponet on his second start at Newbury at the end of December.

He tried his best to challenge the Supreme-bound winner, but eventually fell four and a half lengths short in third and a repeat of that should be good enough.

16:50 (Doncaster) I Play County

I Play County is one to watch in the final race of the day, Sky Sports Racing Hd Virgin 519 Open National Hunt Flat Race.

The five-year-old was a point-to-point winner and made a promising debut under rules when he finished fourth out of 18 over the same course-and-distance.

That was his first run in 275 days so he should be in better shape for this one and promises to be a contender.
