Cork racing tip (1515): Tingarran Express to flourish under near stewardship

Tingarran Express is backed to claim the 15:15 at Cork on Sunday by horse racing tipster K2 Tips of the Tipstrr platform.

1515 Greenvalley Transport Novice Handicap Hurdle

The 15:15 at Cork is a 20-runner Novice Handicap Hurdle run over two miles and four furlongs on Sunday with Champagne Mahler currently topping the market.

Henry de Bromhead’s promising sort is still looking for a maiden win but turned in a strong showing at Wexford last month.

Blossom De Mai had every chance but has been declared a non-runner, leaving Magic Conquerer second in the market after pushing her mighty close last time out.

Tingarran Express has left trainer Philip Fenton, which could indicate the potential for improvement under the new guidance.

Her ability to stay longer distances and adaptability to different ground conditions suggest room for further development. Her last race at Tipperary saw her finish 10th in a field of 17, a performance that only partially reflects her capabilities.

Before this, she had a fall at Kilbeggan but previously delivered a promising second-place finish at Clonmel. Typically held up in her races, she has shown that she can make significant progress in the later stages of a race, hinting at untapped stamina and resilience.

Sired by Westerner, out of Sunshine Haven (IRE) by Sunshine Street (USA), she has proved versatile in terms of ground conditions, having run decently on both good to soft and heavy ground.

Given her ability to perform consistently, if not spectacularly, she could be a solid choice for an each-way bet. Her recent form suggests she's on the cusp of a breakthrough, making her a potential dark horse in her upcoming races.

Suggested bet: Tingarran Express to win the 15:15 at Cork
