14:45 (Chepstow) Largy Force

Largy Force can make it second time lucky over obstacles in the Core – Centre Of Roofing Excellence Hereford Mares’ “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle.

A point-to-point winner in 2022, she subsequently changed hands for £85,000 and made her rules debut in a Catterick bumper in December, coming home a fair second to Wilful, who has subsequently placed twice again, both in a bumper and over hurdles.

Warren Greatrex wasted no time in moving Largy Force to the hurdles sphere, sending her to Hereford last month to finish runner-up at the first attempt, albeit beaten seven and a half lengths.

While the six-year-old may want longer than this two miles in due course, she should be good enough.

15:50 (Chepstow) Lady Balko

Lady Balko brings excellent winning form after three victories at Hereford and a pair of Taunton wins including a triumph in this handicap hurdle grade over three miles last week.

Valens Bruyee has been going well with a two mile novices hurdle victory here on heavy ground preceding a Sandown third, so is worth considering.

Jo Lescribaa ran with credit at Leicester finishing fourth in a novices handicap hurdle. Holds claims as may build on that effort.

Richardson placed third attempting a course and distance handicap hurdle three runs ago and shouldn't be dismissed.

16:25 (Chepstow) Twilight Glory

Twilight Glory bids for a hat-trick with a nose course and distance handicap chase success in this grade preceding a victory tackling 3m2f here on testing ground.

Leading Swoop showed plenty of ability at Fontwell when 1.75L second in this handicap chase grade over 2m6f, so should be included on the shortlist.

Shady B did well at Leicester when runner-up in this grade two weeks back. Up in trip and could feature.

Puddlesinthepark brings good placed efforts including a Plumpton third among this company attempting 3m2f. Form has worked out and cannot be dismissed.

17:00 (Chepstow) Briefly

Anthony Honeyball could have found Briefly a winning opportunity in the Treforest Tiling Mares’ Open National Hunt Flat Race.

Well beaten at the first attempt, she showed improved form when third last time when behind two smart types, with the runner-up subsequently placing fourth at Listed level.
