Not a great deal of racing in the UK this Wednesday, so the Planet Sport tipsters have to make the most of the only afternoon meeting at Catterick on April 3.

We start off with some details on our three selected horses at Catterick, and there's a full list of tips at the bottom of the page.

Don't forget to check out the full racecard, results and live odds in Planet Sport's racing live centre.

Good luck and please gamble responsibly.

15:25 (Catterick) Eye Of Dubai

Eye Of Dubai can build on the promise he showed last year with victory in the Visit Racingtv.com Novice Stakes..

The son of Havana Grey had two juvenile starts in 2023 and suffered the agony of a neck defeat on both occasions, firstly at Chester in September and then at Redcar in October.

Eye Of Dubai fluffed his start on the Roodee, which meant he was under pressure from the off so his second place to a more experienced rival offered much hope and he was sent off the evens favourite for his next start.

He travelled supremely well at Redcar but deep ground perhaps just found him out with the line in sight. With that in mind another winter on his back will have benefitted John and Sean Quinn’s charge.

15:55 (Catterick) Sir Maxi

Sir Maxi has been running consistently throughout the winter and can transfer that form to the turf in the Download Raceday Ready Today Handicap.

Richard Fahey’s charge won once and placed three times on the all-weather since November but he lines up here off a mark of 70 having been rated 5lb higher at Christmas.

That is 1lb lower than his last winning mark and his narrow third at Newcastle last month shows that to be a thoroughly competitive perch.

16:27 (Catterick) Artistic Mission

Artistic Mission has endured a slightly frustrating run of three successive second places but he can snap that sequence in the racingtv.com Handicap.

An initial novice fifth back in November proved a decent springboard, with the Classic-entered Champagne Prince simply too good for Artistic Mission next time.

Karl Burke then tried a visor in Artistic Mission’s final novice start, but that did not have the desired effect as he hung in the finish to be beaten just under two lengths by Roman Emperor, who performed with credit on All-Weather Finals Day last week.

The handicapper allotted a mark of 74 for Artistic Mission’s debut in that sphere and it was a fair run without the visor, though he was no match for Sergeant Wilko and has been eased 1lb since, which might help his cause.
