Beverley best bets: She’s Got Bottle can defy penalty with Distinction holding each-way hopes

Our partners at Tipstrr have run their numbers over this tasty-looking handicap to provide us with their pundits’ best bet and most promising each-way punt.

16:50 Beverley:  Support Independent Racecourses Handicap (1 mile 100 yards)

The early betting is headed by short-priced favourite She’s Got Bottle and all indications are that she should also dominate the action on the track in the same way.

Planet Sport Bet Daily Special: Bet £20+ cash on any runner in the race and if She’s Got Bottle wins by more than 2 lengths, get a £5 Free Bet

This reliable mare enjoyed back-to-back wins at this venue in the space of one September week in 2022, one of them over this very trip, and she was almost as productive last year, when she enjoyed further success at Pontefract.

She arrives here fresh from a career-best performance last time out just five days ago, again at Pontefract, where she found extra down the stretch to win by just under a length from the runner-up, with her remaining 10 rivals a further six lengths and more adrift.

Danny Tudhope definitely extracted the best out of his charge that day, and assuming she copes with the quick turnaround, then they should be able to overcome the five-pound penalty to share further success here.

Suggested best bet: She’s Got Bottle each-way in the 16:50 at Beverley

Nearest market rivals Sunny Orange and Calcutta Dream are also expected to go well here, but the three principals’ short prices have enhanced the value of their nine rivals, all of whom will be eyeing up at least the fourth each-way place that is widely available.

Despite finishing fourth behind the reopposing Calcutta dream when last seen just over a month ago, Distinction has caught the eye of some of Tipstrr’s each-way specialists.

John Mackie’s six-year-old mare will be looking to take advantage of a more favourable draw this time around, with jockey Connor Beasley looking to replicate the kind of performance that saw her land a couple of 9½-furlong outings on Wolverhampton’s all-weather track during the winter.

At her current double-digit price she retains excellent each-way value to make the frame in what should be a wide-open race in behind the likely winning favourite.

Suggested each-way punt: Distinction each-way in the 16:50 at Beverley
