(Please be aware selections could become non-runners after article's first publication)
14:02 (Bath) Beggarman
Beggarman struggled in a higher grade last start. Finished second here on his previous two outings. Still a turf maiden but races from 10lbs below his peak AW winning mark. Solid claims.
Hat-trick bidding Asense will have no stamina worries and is just 1lbs higher than when winning here in latest. It's How We Roll won at this course for a previous yard. Could go well on stable debut if stamina holds.
14:32 (Bath) Dallas Star
Dallas Star was a 2.75L eighth among Listed company at Royal Ascot. Finished third in two other starts and his pedigree indicates this step up to 1m will suit. Leading player. Hot Fuss is respected as the highest rated runner in the line up.
Was three places ahead of the main selection at Ascot but stamina for this test looked suspect in latest. Calvert placed at this trip on both starts so far. Each-way claims. Newcomer Flowering represents a stable that does well here. Watch the market.
16:02 (Bath) Newport Bay
Newport Bay can start slowly but is by a sire whose progeny act on slower ground. Receiving a workable mark holds claims if breaking on terms. Goodeveningmrbond was a winner over 5f at Chepstow (good to soft) two runs ago.
Held since but this looks more suitable. Whoop Whoop is admirably consistent though did perform below expectations the last time she tackled an easy surface. Whiteley Way has been absent since mid-July. Might prove a threat on handicap debut.
17:38 (Bath) Orange Martini
Orange Martini dropped 1lbs since finishing third at Chester in May. Subsequent absence is a worry but her dam relished soft ground and she could have more to offer. Mambo Beat struggled prior to a July 1 ¼m Ffos Las win.
Easy underfoot conditions no issue and a 4lbs rise looks fair. Miss Dolly Rocker was second in a course and distance maiden before winning at Nottingham. Second from this mark since. Respect.
