Ascot each-way tip: Ryan Moore and Rohaan re-unite in strong Sprint Stakes bid

Al Qareem ridden by jockey Clifford Lee at Ascot
The second race of Champions Day will be short and sweet as some of racing’s top sprinters line up in what should be a high-quality renewal over six furlongs.
13:50 - British Champions Sprint Stakes (6 furlongs)
This appear to be one of Frankie Dettori’s best chances to celebrate his last Champions Day with a signature dismount, as he reunites with Kinross who carried him to victory in this race a year ago.
Ralph Beckett’s six-year-old has looked as good as ever this term, landing back-to-back Group 2’s at Goodwood and York in August, and recovering from being hampered two out to get within half a length of the shock 27/1 winner of the Prix de la Foret at Longchamp last time out.

The short-price of Kinross enhances the value of the rest of the field should the favourite falter, and with four places up for grabs, there are each-way options aplenty, with second-favourite Vadream more likely than most to relish the deteriorating ground.
Rohaan was an unlucky fourth in this race a year ago, won last time out here 15 days ago and is a five-time course-and-distance winner, so it is perhaps significant that Ryan Moore has opted to team up again for the first time since winning the Wokingham Stakes together at Royal Ascot in 2022.
Suggested bet: Rohaan each-way in the 13:50 at Ascot

Oisin Murphy rides Sandrine after piloting the four-year-old to within a length of Kinross at York and then landing the Park Stakes at Doncaster, and they could well give Andrew Balding another Ascot success.
Getting the nod from Tipstrr’s each-way specialists is George Boughey’s smart young filly, Believing, who has continued to progress nicely since landing back-to-back successes at Chelmsford and Chantilly in late spring.
The three-year-old hit the ground running after a 77-day summer break, leaving ten rivals in her wake at Pontefract, before finishing a close-up third (less than a length behind the winner) as a 66/1 shot in Haydock’s Sprint Cup last time out.
Danny Tudhope, who was on board for the Pontefract win, is rebooked here, and after another six-week break she should be in perfect shape to give another good account here.
Possible each-way punt: Believing each-way in the 13:50 at Ascot
