FLY HIGH SAMMY (5) has a moderate winning strike-rate but did a good job when returning from a break last time at The Albuquerque Downs Racetrack & Casino (Dirt), finishing second and only 0. 3 lengths from the winner at the end of 1½f after being in the firing line on the bend. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she deserves plenty of thought. MARISMA (3) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race when fresh from a lay-off last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 0. 8 lengths over 1f130yards at The Albuquerque Downs Racetrack & Casino (Dirt) after being in contention on the turn. Must raise the bar but a big run will not surprise. MAKA KIA (7) strode forward early from her wide draw when resuming last start over 2f at The Albuquerque Downs Racetrack & Casino (Dirt) then fought on gamely to finish third. Taking on a better line-up this time but she deserves her chance.
