Race Tip

A competitive handicap. Three-time course winner NORTHERN EXPRESS (5) showed plenty of ability three weeks ago when a smart 2. 75L fourth in this handicap grade on soft ground at Ayr. Respect on best efforts. WHIP CRACKER (6) has been progressive this season with a close second in a lower graded Goodwood handicap preceding a 1. 5L second on soft going at Yarmouth. Makes appeal. ICE MAX (1) is a former G2 winner. Produced a runner-up effort tackling the 1m1f G3 Diomed Stakes at Epsom Downs four runs back and warrants a market check. THUNDER ROAR (4) won a similar level 1m handicap at Ayr two outings ago. Posted a close second in this race last year. Not discounted.
