BURLEIGH (1) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when third over 6½f at Ararat after being in contention all the way. Has the talent to find the winners' list. COMMANDEUR (2) faded last time to finish seventh over 6f at Cranbourne after showing good early speed. One of the contenders with the blinkers added.
