WEST INDIES (4) was well held in the Victoria Derby won by Goldrush Guru over 1m4 1/2f at Flemington at his last appearance four-and-a-half months ago. Should camp just off the leaders. Best form puts him right in this. WARCHIME (3) went forward last start and proved too strong, getting home by 2.75 lengths over 1m1 1/4f at Kyneton. Should park just off the speed despite a difficult draw. Facing a tougher assignment but he is up to the task. CHESAPEAKE BABE (7) accounted for a maiden field over 1m2f at Kilmore last start, finishing 1.75 lengths ahead of the nearest rival. Jake Noonan was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Harder this time but still one to consider. GIFT OF ORATORY (5) did a great job to score by half a length over this course and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Taking on a better line-up this time but he can win again.
