SAVOONGA (4) broke her maiden last start over 6¾f at this track, scoring by 1. 4 lengths. No reason she cannot get the job done again. MY COUNTRY BOY (2) accounted for a maiden field over 1m1/4f at this track last start, finishing a neck ahead of the nearest rival. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. No reason he cannot get the job done again. ITALUS (5) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish a nose away in second over 1m1f at Bathurst. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is up to the challenge. SMICHOV (3) could only manage sixth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 7f at Bathurst, beaten just a nose. Suitably placed so he can be prominent again.
