MOUNTAIN QUEEN (7) showed good early dash when resuming last start and held on well to finish 1. 3 lengths back in second over 7f at Nowra. Meeting a deeper field this time but she deserves her chance. SHAWNEE BOY (4) did little and finished 5 lengths from the winner in eighth over 6¾f at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his fifth on debut at Canterbury the run before. Has the class to produce a better result. SO D'ORO (8) is a two-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 3. 5 lengths when fifth over 6¾f at this track. Definite top-three hope with plenty of improvement to come. VALENTIAGO (5) finished second last start over 7½f at Goulburn, beaten 0. 7 lengths. Should be cherry-ripe. Capable of another bold effort.
