Group 1 placegetter STRAIT ACER (1) is yet to find the frame in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when sixth over 7f at Kembla Grange. Has further improvement to come and looks set to find best form. Group 3 placegetter AUSBRED FLIRT (8) drifted back early when resuming last start and could only manage a 3.5 lengths sixth over 7f in the G2 Guy Walter Stakes at Randwick. Second up record is sound. Expected to run well. WILLINGA FREEFALL (4) finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6f at Gosford when he did his best work late, beaten 1.3 lengths. Nicely placed to take this out. TRUE CRIME (5) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.1 lengths from the winner in second over 6¾f at this track. Suitably placed so he can be prominent again.
