GARNET AND GOLD (4) went forward and proved too strong last time out, scoring by 1.3 lengths over 5f at Fort Erie. It doesn't get any easier but on her best form she is right in contention. PURR FACTOR (7) really dug deep to get the prize by 5 lengths three runs back at this track before filling a minor placing at her last two starts. Has good early toe so she should be handy in the run. Leading contender. VERDEJO (1) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing fourth at this track over 6f. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including three wins. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. I'M INTO MISCHIEF (3) has been in the market at her last couple of runs but failed to threaten, the latest effort a modest sixth at this track over 6f. Top-three prospects.
