HEMLO GOLD (3) raced on the speed when resuming last start and battled on well but found one better over 1m1/2f at this track. Eswan Flores stays aboard and although yet to win has been in the money on two occasions. Fitter and is expected to feature. CAUSIN' MAYHEM (1) turned in a fine effort to score by one length at this track and distance when when resuming from a break last time out. Faces an easier assignment so he is one of the main contenders. CONTRIVANCE (5) displayed plenty of early toe and went on to score by 1.5 lengths last time out over 7f at this track. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. ROYAL HUDSON (2) returned from a break last start with an all-the-way win over 6f at this track, getting home by half a length. Strong performer when second up with a win and two minor placings from three attempts. Expected to feature.
