ROSCAR (1) was well held in the won by Get Smokin over 1m4f at this track at his last appearance five months ago. Finds a suitable assignment and can play a big role. ESSEX SERPENT (5) resumes after a break of eight months. Won on debut to launch the last campaign over 5½f at this track. Makes plenty of appeal. JOURNEYMAN (4) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Tampa Bay Downs, beaten 4 lengths into fourth. Worth noting Ryan Munger goes aboard. Finds a tougher race but a win is not out of the question. EVER DANGEROUS (2) gave a great sight last time over 1m1/4f at Gulfstream Park when he raced up on the pace and fought on gamely only to be narrowly beaten. Has been in super form this campaign, finishing in the money at each of his four starts. One of the fringe hopes.
