GHOSTLY SPITFIRE (6) booted up from the inside draw to sit on the speed last start then went on to register a determined win by half a length at this track over 1m1/2f. Solid winning hope. SAMMY STONE (8) was in the firing line on the bend and finished second last time over 7f at this track when resuming from a lay-off, beaten one length. Has the class to figure prominently.
