BEST RATE (1) placed over the trip on Kempton debut. Stumbled at the start next time at Lingfield but was an eye-catcher when making up lots of late ground to finish an eventual fifth. Holds obvious winning appeal if breaking on terms. Debutant CITY OF GOD (2) is a son of Kodiac out of Rare who should be watched for any market moves but STAGE WINNER (8) showed promise in his first outing placing sixth here and the added distance should suit. TAWASOL (9) has received wind surgery since finished down the field at Windsor in August and is open to plenty of improvement.
