He's due to go up 2lb in the weights and can regain the winning thread before his new mark kicks in. A 3lb rise in the weights for going down by a nose over this trip at Southwell four weeks ago shouldn't prevent a bold bid from FERNANDO (1). The step up to 1m for the first time could eke out improvement from MY MATE BEATTIE (2), who was disappointing on soft ground over 6f at Doncaster in November. MONTBELIARDE (4) is next best.
