THE NEPHILIM (7) is yet to break through after four career starts. Managed to fill a minor placing at Wagga two starts back before finishing sixth over 6½f at Wangaratta last start. Likely to play a major role. COUNTRY BLUES (2) finished third last time over 5f136yards at Geelong when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 3.5 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. WATOTO (9) went forward last time but couldn't quicken in the run home and finished fifth over 6½f at Wangaratta. No surprise if he figured in the finish.
