HARD CANDY (1) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race when fresh from a lay-off last time out, finishing second and beaten only half a length over 5f at this track (Dirt) after being in the firing line on the bend. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. RANCHO A GO GO (4) is a promising type who hasn't raced since finishing 11 lengths away in fifth over 5f at Remington Park (Dirt) on November 30. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a lay-off in two starts. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Leading contender. HE'S A ROCK (2) settled well back and failed to come on last start when eighth over 5½f at this track (Dirt) at his first run back from a break. Should do far better this time. HAY SCOOBY DOO (5) was in a different class last time with a dominant all-the-way win by 2 lengths at this track (Dirt) over 5½f. One of the main contenders.
