Winning rider from last prep aboard again - expected to go well. OKIE SMOKE (6) is a speedy gelding who was a winner when resuming at this track (Dirt). Should park just off the speed. Leading contender. LAKE BEE (5) produced a reasonable effort when second last start after being prominent at the bend over 5½f at Sam Houston Park, beaten 1.75 lengths. That followed a win at Sam Houston Park the start prior. Must raise the bar but a big run is on the cards. POWER SLAM (4) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at Oaklawn Park, beaten 9 lengths into seventh. Capable of featuring prominently.
