ST DOMINIC (3) settled well back then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 11 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1m4 1/2f at Pakenham a week-and-a-half ago. Steps up in distance. The testing material. CHIRPY CHAP (1) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 7 lengths when fourth in a 1m2 1/2f contest at Stony Creek a month ago after being in contention on the bend. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. HIGH HEELED (6) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1m5f at Cranbourne, beaten only 1. 75 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Finds a more suitable contest and can get the job done. DEJAVAST (5) was prominent until they straightened last time but weakened to finish seventh, beaten 8 lengths, over 1m3 1/4f at Seymour. Among the better chances in what looks a nice race.
