HIGHLAND DREAM (6) turned in a strong run two starts ago at Stony Creek then failed to back it up over 7f at Benalla last time, beaten 7 lengths into tenth. Appeals back in trip this time so looks a leading contender. GUNBOAT (3) finished 3.5 lengths away in seventh last time out over 6f at Kilmore a week ago. Steps up in distance. Should camp just off the leaders. Will prove tough to beat. SPINHOF (8) bounced back last start and landed the prize by 3 lengths after being in contention on the bend as favourite over 6¾f at Burrumbeet. Facing a tougher assignment but he is worth serious consideration. ASAWIN (1) finished second last time over 6½f at Stawell, beaten 0.8 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Nicely placed to play a role in the finish.
