ANGIE'S SISTER (5) was only beaten 1.75 lengths when fourth on debut last time out over 5f at Dubbo. Has plenty of upside and can open her account. LEOVANNI (7) is back after a break of three-and-a-half months. At the last run before the layoff she finished fourth over 7f at Scone. Launched last prep with a minor placing at Tamworth over 6f. Bold showing expected. MERE MORTAL (3) is a five-start maiden who is well and truly overdue, finishing second at Warren over 5f last time out after being in contention on the bend. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. TERNINI (4) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 4½f at Coonabarabran, beaten 4.5 lengths into fifth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
