Will play a major role. MEASURE UP (4) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing 2 lengths from the winner in fifth over 5f at Sunshine Coast. Has ability and looks sure to measure up. BEAR OIL (3) faced the starter for the first time and was well supported but could only manage fourth last start at Ipswich over 5½f, beaten 6 lengths. Top-three chance with that run under his belt. ENGLISH CONQUEROR (6) is a maiden who has filled a minor placing two times in five starts. Safely held when resuming last start over 6f at Gold Coast, finishing eighth and beaten 10 lengths. Fitter again and the winkers come off for this. Including among the hopes.
