FORMAL (6) was narrowly beaten last start when third in a small field over 5½f at this track at the first run of the campaign on heavy going. Will be fitter for that run, looks a top winning chance. AYE AYE CAPTAIN (10) was given a short break after hitting the frame over 5½f at Randwick Kensington. Kept ticking over with a subsequent trial at Randwick. Rates highly and sure to be competitive. TWISTED QUEEN (12) resumed over 6f at Newcastle last start and was too good for her rivals, scoring by a nose. Will be better for that latest run and can go on with it. RIMBAUD (8) improved last time out, finishing 1. 5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 6½f at this track. No surprise to see him in the mix.
