READY TO SHINE (10) finished sixth when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 5½f at Canterbury, beaten only 1. 2 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can find the winner's circle. CLOSE ENCOUNTER (11) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6¼f at Newcastle, beaten 7 lengths into fifth. Meeting a deeper field this time but he deserves another chance. WHO BUT ROO (2) missed the frame last time when sixth at Randwick. Prior to that had been in the money on two consecutive occasions. Deserves a win and should do much better this time. ZALE (8) made progress last start to finish second over 5½f at Wyong. No surprise to see him in contention.
