SCOOP THE POOL (2) has not raced since his debut back on June 14 when he finished fourth over 7f at Rosehill. Better for the run and can improve sharply. TUSCANY (8) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten 1.5 lengths, over 5½f at Hawkesbury. Can measure up. FREDDIE BASSETT (1) resuming after four-and-a-half months break and was in the money at only start before another lay-off. Sure to be improved by recent trials and should be in the mix fresh. PORTOFINO (9) was never in contention when 7 lengths from the winner in ninth over 6½f at Rosehill last start, a less impressive effort than his sixth on debut at Rosehill the run before. Finds a more suitable contest and can take this out.
