BON'S YOUR BACK (10) has been freshened up since disappointing 33 days ago when 16th over 5½f at Flemington in a tougher race. Expected to bounce back. HOME RULE (2) followed an unplaced effort when resuming two runs back with a third last start over 6f at Terang after being in contention on the corner. Steps up a level but he is good enough to figure in the finish. WOLFLANDS (4) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 5 lengths into eighth over 5½f at Bendigo. Finds a more suitable contest and can get the job done. NICCOLITE (11) finished third last start over 5f at Ballarat, beaten 4.5 lengths. Will strip fitter this time. Nicely placed to play a role in the finish.
