CHANDON STAR (1) finished third two runs back at Dubbo then improved last time out to score by a head over 5f at Gunnedah. Looks well placed so expect another big run. CASTLEBAR ROAD (2) improved last time out, finishing 2 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 5f at Dubbo after being in the firing line on the bend. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. MON PIERRE (3) started at 2/1 last time but could only manage fifth, beaten 2. 25 lengths, at Cunnamulla over 6f. Drawn to enjoy a good run on the speed. Will give backers a great sight. CROOK (4) was in contention on the bend and finished second last time over 5f at Scone when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 1. 75 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating another strong effort.
