NIGHT FLASH (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5f at Cranbourne, beaten 1. 3 lengths into fourth. Finds a nice race and can play a significant role. RUMOURS ABOUND (4) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5f at Wagga, beaten 4. 5 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Has a very strong second up record. It doesn't get any easier but with added fitness she is good enough to take this out. BEFORE THE WAR (8) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fifth, beaten 1. 75 lengths, over 5f at Cranbourne. Warrants plenty of respect. BARNAGE (1) has been freshened since a safely held 13th at Flemington over 6f five-and-a-half weeks ago. Holding the fitness judging by a recent trial win at Kyneton. Cannot be underestimated.
