GOLDEN HIPS (2) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 1m at Moe, scoring by 1.5 lengths. Big chance to go back-to-back. EL SORDO (1) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fifth, beaten 2.5 lengths, over 1m at Donald. Will be handy in the run and should prove hard to run down. SLATE RIPPER (4) accounted for a maiden field over 7½f at Albury last start, finishing a head ahead of the nearest rival. Harder here but should be involved in the finish. VAMPIRE MISS (12) returned from a lay-off three weeks ago when she was beaten 5 lengths into fifth over 7f at Bendigo. Fitter so expect a better run this time.
