COUNTY KILKENNY (1) lines up for the hat-trick after registering a strong win last time over 1m2f at this track, scoring by a long neck. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Best form puts him right in this. HELLS SPIRIT (2) finished second at this track two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1m2f at Caulfield, finishing 10 lengths back in tenth after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a suitable assignment and can find winning form. VALENTINE JOHN (4) doesn't win very often but ran a nice race last time out over 1m7 1/2f at Grafton, finishing second and beaten 1. 5 lengths. Nicely placed to fill a top-three spot.
