PORTLAND MISS (9) settled back before coming home strongly to score on debut over 5f at Hawkesbury two-and-a-half weeks ago. Looks promising and can measure up again. FRIENDLY FIRE (2) is a well bred gelding who was an AUD $ 80,000 (Inglis 2025 Classic Yearling Sale) yearling by Farnan who makes debut for the Gary Portelli yard. Primed for this with a trial placing over 3f215yards at Warwick Farm. Has a wide draw but among the main chances. ISN'T SHE AUTUMN (6) wasted no time getting off the mark on debut over 5f at Canberra two weeks ago. Has upside and is well placed to feature again. SOUND SYSTEM (3) progressed nicely last time out to finish just a neck from the winner in second over 6f122yards at Geelong. This looks a good race for him and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways.
