WILL TO EXCEL (4) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by a nose over 1m4f at Wagga Riverside. Fitter for that last hitout and is the testing material. VALENTINE JOHN (3) did little and finished 5 lengths from the winner in sixth over 1m4f at Warwick Farm last start, a less impressive effort than his fifth at Newcastle the run before. Won't find this as tough so he can find the winners' list. GOOFINATOR (5) was right in contention when they turned for home and kept finding to finish second last start over 1m4f at Wagga Riverside, beaten a nose. In a suitable race and can go on to take this out. SCARLI JAPALI (1) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten 4 lengths, over 1m4f at Warwick Farm. Outdashed but got home well and the extra ground looks a big plus. Sure to be winding up late.
