LAGUNA SECA (6) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten 0.8 lengths, over 5f21yards at Moruya when returning from a lay-off. Will drift back but wind up late. Will prove hard to hold out. CAPTAIN NAY (5) is a strong fresh performer back after a break of seven months and looking to emulate his win at Gundagai to kick off the last campaign. Will be hard to stop. BRIAL ROSE (4) progressed nicely last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just a head from the winner in third over 6f at Corowa after being prominent at the corner. Meets some better types this time but this looks well within her grasp. ABSTRUSE (3) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 2.25 lengths over 5f21yards at Moruya. Well placed and should be about the mark.
