Could only manage to finish eighth last time out over 7¾f at Canterbury following a minor placing at Kembla Grange over 7f the run prior. Big chance to break through. HIGHLAND LAD (3) ran below his best when sixth last start over 1m at Wyong, beaten 11 lengths. Can atone. HELIGAN (9) caught the eye last start over 7f at Canberra, coming from well back to finish half a length from the winner in third. Yet to find winning form this prep but has been thereabouts with two placings from four starts. Has to be respected. REEF ROAD (5) has recorded two minor placings from three runs this campaign. Continued the trend at the most recent appearance when third over 7f at Gundagai. Looks well placed so expect another big run.
