CALADRIUS (5) is a four-start maiden who finished fourth after being in contention on the bend at her most recent appearance over 5f at this track. Well placed on this occasion and gets her chance to break the ice. PENNYS CHOICE (3) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 5¾f at Turffontein Standside, beaten 3. 5 lengths after being in contention on the turn. Stepping up a level this time but on her best form she is good enough to take this out. CHARLESTON DAWN (4) resumes from a lay-off of four months and is having her first outing under new trainer Craig Mayhew. Finished 13th at this track over 6f at the opening run last time in work. One of the genuine hopes in the race. MASTER'S LADY (1) finished 4. 5 lengths away in fourth at her last appearance over 5f at Turffontein Standside on June 14. Looks to be in the right race to figure in the finish.
