VIRGIN RIVER (8) was prominent from the outset when second over 5f at Vaal last time out. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Expected to be in the finish. LONG Set Weights ORD (3) finished fifth over 5f at Vaal at his most recent appearance on October 10. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal. BIG BOY BRUCE (6) improved sharply on his sixth two starts back at Vaal with success as public elect over 5¾f at this track three weeks ago, getting home by 0.8 lengths. Meeting a deeper field this time but he can go back-to-back. BEAMONESQUE (9) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on September 24 finishing fifth and beaten 3.5 lengths over 7f at Vaal. Looks a strong top-three prospect.
