AUTHORITARIAN (9) started at 5/4 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 2.75 lengths at Horseshoe Indianapolis (Turf) over 1m after being in the firing line on the bend. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including a win and four minor placings. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the key runners. SPEITFUL SAM (6) finished 5.5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6f at Mahoning Valley after being prominent at the turn five-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up in distance. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Expected to be in the finish. HOLD YOUR APPLAUSE (4) finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 1m1/2f at Horseshoe Indianapolis (Turf), beaten 2 lengths. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. COMMUNICATION MEMO (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at Churchill Downs, beaten 15 lengths into seventh. No surprise to see him in the frame.
