THE EQUATOR (1) returned from a break last start with a modest fifth over 1m1f in Group 3 class at this track, beaten 3. 5 lengths. Has a solid record at this venue with two wins from six starts. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Will give a great sight. DON'T CRY FOR ME (4) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 5 lengths into 13th over 7f at Vaal. Has a solid second up record. Fitter and sure to run well. KING'S EXPRESS (3) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago at Turffontein Inside. Safely held last time out when seventh over 1m at this track, beaten 5 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Has started two times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. HAWKBILL (6) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 13 lengths away in 11th over 1m2f at Turffontein Inside. Better than recent efforts suggest.
