KUDZU (8) started at 6/1 last time on the back of a win at this track two starts ago but was below his best, finishing sixth over 1m1f at Vaal after being in contention on the turn. Finds an easier assignment and can turn things around. TOTAL SURRENDER (10) was going okay prior to finishing 4 lengths back in eighth last start over 1m1f at Vaal. Craig Zackey has a solid record aboard this five-year-old gelding so sharp improvement will not surprise. CLAW (9) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race when fresh from a lay-off last time out, finishing third and beaten only 2.25 lengths over 7½f at Vaal. Nicely placed to take this out. STAR COIN (5) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing tenth at Vaal over 1m1f. Has the class to produce a better result.
