PALACE DANCER (5) built on a nice third two starts back at Vaal with success over 7½f at Vaal five-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 1.3 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can salute again. CAPE LIGHTS (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Turffontein Inside, beaten 2 lengths into fourth. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including a win and two minor placings. Tackling a more suitable race this time so she is set to turn things around. MOUNTAIN HIGH (8) hasn’t been far away since a maiden win three runs back, the latest effort a third over 7f at Vaal on April 15. Although yet to score at this distance has been in the frame at all five runs and should be involved in the finish. POINTER (1) caught the eye last start over 7f at Vaal, coming from well back to finish a neck from the winner in second. Has a decent record at this trip with three minor placings from four tries and cannot be underestimated.
