VIRGIN RIVER (5) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 10 starts. Did a good job last start to finish second over 5f at Vaal, beaten a nose. In the right race and there is no reason she cannot get the major prize. KIA KAHA (3) lines up on the back of a 0.7 lengths fourth over 5f at Vaal. Is very effective at this distance with two wins from five runs. Expecting a bold showing. TCHAIKOVSKY (1) turned in a sound effort last time but found one better at Vaal over 5f, beaten 0.8 lengths. Has a wide gate to overcome but will still be competitive. KING OF KILDARE (2) ran below expectations when fresh from a lay-off at Vaal over 5f last time, finishing ninth and beaten 4 lengths. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
